“Image of Music” is an original precious ballet gala launched by Shanghai Ballet in 2015. This new production is specially created by Ms. XIN Lili (Director of Shanghai Ballet) as Choreographer, and specially invite Mr. CHEN Weiping, the cello soloist in this creation.

In different chapters of the whole production, dancers will use their special body language, breaking the usual body movements to show the simple, smooth and elegant appearance of the cello. The new creation aims to find the balance between the lower tone of the cello and concise beauty of modern ballet.
