PROLOGUE

In the 1930s - 1940s, China was in a precarious state. Ming Hua, a male student returning from Europe; Meng An, a girl growing up in Shanghai; together with other patriotic young artists embarked on the journey to Yan’an.

ACT I Arrive in Yan’an

Yan’an welcomed the young artists with an open heart. It was here that the youths cultivated their ideal and faith. And it was also here that Ming Hua and Meng An encountered.

ACT II Join the Farming

The young artists began opening up the wasteland, farming, and spinning. Meanwhile, a “seed” of joining the revolutionary force was rooting inside Ming Hua and Meng An’s minds.

ACT III Take the Oath

Gradually, Ming Hua and Meng An learned that they shared the same faith. They joined the Party and were ready to sacrifice for the bright future of the motherland.

ACT IV Devote to Battle

During the march, Meng An lost her life, which aroused the determination of Ming Hua and others. They continued their journey to fight for the victory of the Chinese revolution……
