ShangHai Ballet Principal Dancer First-class Dancer

Graduated from the Shanghai Dance Academy in 2007, ZHOU Jiawen became a dancer of Shanghai Ballet.

She has danced main roles in The White-haired Girl, Swan Lake, Bright Red Star andJane Eyre(Shanghai Grand Theatre version),and performed important solos and leading dances inA Sigh of Love, Giselle£¬The Nutcracker (Shanghai Grand Theatre’s Version)£¬The Sleeping Beauty (Shanghai Ballet Version)£¬The Lady of the Camellias£¬Coppelia, La Sylphide, Romeo and Juliet, The Butterfly LoversandThe Last Mission of Marco Polo. She has taken part in the performances such as Hamlet, Echoes of Eternity, Le Fantôme de L'opéra(Derek Deane),etc.She also danced George Balanchine’s Serenade and modern pieceGrand Pas du Bach, Bolero, Vanish, etc.

In 2013, she won the Bronze Medal Award at 2nd Beijing International Ballet and Choreographer Competition.

In 2014, she was awarded second prize at the 6th Eastern China Professional Dance Competition. She was awarded 2013-2014 “Shanghai Top Ten Dancer of the Year”.
