Selected Programs Tour Back from the North

After the performance of A Sigh of Love on Sep.3, Shanghai Ballet toured to the North. Sep.6, the performing staff left for Shi Jiazhuang starting the 22 days’ tour. The tour accounts for 11 performances covering nine cities. This is another large-scaled tour to the north part of China after last year’s tour of The White-haired Girl.

The program of the tour includes some selected pieces of The White-haired Girl, Swan Lake, The Nutcracker and A Sigh of Love. The show covers different styles of the repertoire of Shanghai Ballet and shows the capacity of the gold prize winners and the promising young dancers.

The dancers grappled with the different temperature, food taste and the other difficulties but they still gave excellent performances every time.

It’s first time to cooperate with the theatres outside Shanghai. Despite of the risk of losing money, Shanghai Ballet gave a good trial of a new cooperative way.
